Common faults and solutions of industrial bucket elevators:
1. Slip the hopper belt.
The main reason for the slippage of the hopper belt is the insufficient tension of the return hopper belt. Solution: Immediately stop and tighten the hopper belt. If the hopper belt cannot be fully tightened, the tensioner travel is too short and needs to be adjusted.
2. The hopper belt deviates.
The deviation of the hopper belt can easily lead to the deviation of the hopper and the cylinder, and the deviation of the hopper belt can easily lead to the tearing of the hopper belt. If this happens, stop the machine immediately and adjust the drive shafts of the head and lower wheels on the same vertical level. And keep it in a horizontal position! The vertical deviation should preferably not exceed 2mm, and the cumulative deviation should not exceed 8mm.
3. Drive motor failure.
If the elevator temperature is too high, the motor will burn out. Some parts of the elevator are easy to get stuffy. The manufacturer of industrial bucket elevators tells you that if the car is stuffy, you need to cut off the power immediately, find out the cause, adjust it in time, and start it after clearing the fault.
4. The material falls off.
In the production process, if the feed is too much, the feed position is too low, or the material of the hopper itself is a problem, it will cause the hopper to fall off. We need to check ourselves. If the feed is too much, we need to reduce the amount of feed and strive for uniformity. If the position of the feed port is too low, the position of the feed port should be adjusted above the low wheel line! If the hopper material is not good, the hopper needs to be replaced. Hoppers are usually welded or stamped from steel or gold-plated sheets.
4. Drive motor failure.
If the elevator temperature is too high, the motor will burn. Some parts of the elevator are easy to get stuffy. 5. The reducer is damaged.
Reducer damage is one of the most common faults in elevators, usually a high-speed shaft tear, a high-speed gear failure, or a damaged reducer bearing or insufficient lubrication. In case of damage, a hydrodynamic coupling between the motor and the reducer is required. In addition, the reducer can be inspected frequently and maintained in time to reduce the possibility of reducer failure.
